The Duty Manager reports to our Venue Manager and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the Club, including roster scheduling, leadership of the team and most important, ensuring we provide an exceptional member and guest experience.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of building a team for our brand new venue, whilst expanding on your existing hospitality leadership experience.
A few of your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supervising a team across multiple departments including café, bistro, bar and gaming ensuring service standards are maintained at a high level
Onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members
Assist with rostering and sourcing replacement team members as required and directed by the Venue Manager
Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.
What we are looking for:
Possession of Responsible Manager of Licensed Venue (RMLV), Queensland RSA & RSG
Outstanding interpersonal and organisational skills
Competent computer skills and experience in rostering for a hospitality venue
Leadership experience and ability to lead from the front and be hands on if required

You will be an experienced leader with passion for building a strong team. You will also have experience ensuring compliance across our club and recommend opportunities to improve our current practices. Your drive to deliver a consistent high level of customer experience will be the key to your success and overall success of our venue. You will be able to contribute to bringing our vision for The Gibson to life.
